Gloria D. Karpinski is a holistic counselor, spiritual director, teacher and author. Her seminars as well as her individual in-depth life attunements emphasize the relevancy of universal spiritual principles to everyday life and the interdynamics of mind, body, emotions and spirit.
Gloria graduated from the University of North Carolina. Prior to her ordination by the International Church of Ageless Wisdom, an interfaith church without walls, she was a journalist. For twenty-plus years, Gloria has taught all over North America and in many other countries.
She has conducted seminars and given lectures for such diverse groups as psychotherapists, actors and doctors, in venues ranging from large conferences to colleges, churches, hospitals and specialized groups.
Gloria is the author of Where Two Worlds Touch: Spiritual Rites of Passage and Barefoot on Holy Ground: Twelve Lessons in Spiritual Craftsmanship (2001), both published by Ballantine Books.
In 1989, Gloria received a grant from the Laurence D. Rockefeller Fund for the Advancement of the Human spirit. In 2002, Women and Wisdom Foundation, Inc. honored Gloria at their “Service to Spirit” Award Banquet and initiated “The Gloria D. Karpinski Grant for Spiritual Study and Renewal.”
Also in 2002, Gloria was presented the keys to her native city of Greensboro, North Carolina, for her outstanding achievements and contributions. In June 2003, she received an honorary ordination by the New Seminary, an interfaith seminary established in New York in 1981. In 2008, Gloria received a grant from The Blessing Project Foundation in Winston Salem, North Carolina to produce her book ‘WHERE TWO WORLDS TOUCH” in a CD Package. This package is now available in our online store along with several Meditation CD’s, one being from her second book ‘”BAREFOOT ON HOLY GROUND”.
Over the past twenty years Gloria has given workshops, intensives and keynote lectures in seven foreign countries (Italy, Germany, England, Switzerland, Scotland, Iceland, Bali, Greece) and in 16 states of the United States as well as in over fifty (50) cities. These have included many private sponsorships as well as churches, colleges, bookstores, medical-psychological and spiritual conferences.
